Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Clinical Nursing Instructor to join our team at James Sprunt Community College. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching clinical rotations, evaluating student progress, and supervising nursing students in clinical activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare for, and teach assigned clinical rotations
  • Evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Supervise and evaluate nursing students in clinical activities
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance
  • Remain current in clinical and professional expertise through ongoing education and training
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited institution
  • Completion of a graduate nursing education program from a regionally accredited institution within three years of initial employment
  • Good communication and human relation skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • CPR certification
Preferred Qualifications
  • Graduate degree in Nursing Education from an accredited institution
  • Bilingual
  • Career Readiness Certificate (CRC)
Work Environment

The work environment is indoor with moderate noise levels. The employee will be required to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods. The employee must be able to lift and move up to 25 pounds.
