UG Operator

We are seeking a highly skilled UG Operator to join our construction team at Southeast Utilities of Georgia, a Congruex company. As a UG Operator, you will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner while working around existing utilities.

• Inspect and maintain heavy equipment, including drill, minix, water truck, and mud vac.
• Fill water truck with water and confirm mud vac is empty.
• Assist in preparing materials for workday and potholing utilities.
• Dig entry and exit pits, and set up drill.
• Choose the correct drill head based on soil conditions.
• Drill bore following instructions and pull product back once drilled out.
• Monitor tailings to maintain correct flow.
• Assist in sweeping product into and setting peds.
• Restore area after completion.
• Load and unload drills and excavators.
• Identify and mitigate potential hazards.

• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Expertise in operating trenching and excavation equipment.
• Proficiency in operating heavy machinery, including backhoes, excavators, trenchers, and directional drills.
• Ability to read utility maps and use utility locating equipment.
• Familiarity with utility marking codes.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions.
• Valid driver's license.
• Meet physical demands, including lifting up to 80 lbs.
