Employee Benefits Client Associate

At Ross & Yerger Insurance, Inc., we're seeking a skilled Employee Benefits Client Associate to support our Employee Benefit Department in all aspects of new business placement, renewal, and service throughout the policy term. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for developing ongoing relationships with clients, overseeing their coverage program, fulfilling client requests, and assisting Client Managers and Producers as needed in disseminating benefit information to potential and existing group clients.
Duties and Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Responding to requests for assistance on existing coverage and/or new policies.
- Obtaining and processing enrollment forms, change forms, or benefit summaries as determined by client need.
- Facilitating renewals and new business as directed by the Department Manager.
- Demonstrating knowledge in rating applications and procedures for all types of group policies.
- Demonstrating understanding of employee benefit programs and coverage and the ability to communicate effectively with potential and existing clients regarding these benefit programs.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- A 4-year college degree preferred.
- Life & Health License required within 6 months of employment and satisfactory employment record.
- Minimum two years' experience in employee benefits, customer service, or a similar position.
- Proficiency in both verbal and written forms of communication.
- Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- A self-starter who can self-manage workload to ensure group accounts are satisfied with Ross & Yerger and their insurance carriers.
- A detail-oriented, charismatic, professional, and eager to learn and become a Client Manager.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking, and deadline-sensitive environment.
