Key Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineering Lead to provide support for the DISA J6 - Joint Service Provider initiative. The Senior Infrastructure Engineering Lead will oversee the engineering team dedicated to the J6 environment, ensuring effective management of daily infrastructure operations. This role requires a strong background in leading teams focused on the design and implementation of scalable and resilient infrastructure solutions.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Infrastructure Design: Create and design scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure solutions.
  • Architecture Planning: Develop and maintain comprehensive architectural diagrams and documentation.
  • Capacity Planning: Evaluate current and future capacity requirements and strategize for scalability.
  • Implementation and Deployment: Supervise the rollout of new infrastructure systems.
  • Incident Management: Monitor infrastructure performance, addressing and resolving incidents and outages as they arise.
  • Operational Support: Manage the Big IP F5 partition, including architecture, configuration, and ongoing support.
  • Network Configuration: Configure and operate Cisco and Juniper switching and routing infrastructure.
  • Security Compliance: Understand Department of Defense network security requirements, architecting and managing enterprise security appliances to support distributed applications.
  • Configuration Management: Ensure proper management of network configuration items.
  • Traffic Engineering: Conduct traffic engineering analysis and studies as directed, including WAN optimization and network troubleshooting.
  • Troubleshooting: Address storage replication issues, link errors, congestion, and service interruptions.
  • Site Surveys: Conduct customer network site surveys.
  • Project Management: Develop and oversee detailed transition plans for projects.
  • Risk Management: Provide input and detailed response plans for risk management.
  • Documentation: Develop and maintain Concept of Operations documentation.
  • Engagement: Participate in organizational meetings and events to integrate into the organizational structure.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • At least 12 years of experience with a BS/BA; 10 years with an MS/MA; or 7 years with a Ph.D.
  • Ability to obtain DoD Interim secret clearance.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proven experience in leading high-performing engineering teams.

Desired Qualifications:

  • DoD 8570 certifications (Security +) at a minimum.

Salary Range

$190,000 - $304,000. This range reflects the typical salary for this position based on experience and other relevant factors.
