CloudShape Inc is experiencing significant growth within our IT & Engineering Portfolio. We are in search of a skilled Senior VMware Infrastructure Specialist to become a vital part of our expanding team. This role involves overseeing VMware automation, backup, recovery, and patch management for numerous global sites.

To qualify for this position, candidates must possess US Citizenship and hold an active Secret security clearance. This role is part of a long-term contract and is contingent upon the verification of an active security clearance prior to commencement with CloudShape Inc.

Basic Qualifications:

  • A minimum of seven (7) years of relevant IT experience.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in a production environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple VMware clusters effectively.
  • Capability to perform in a 24x7 operational environment.
  • Self-directed and able to manage work schedules and tasks independently.
  • Strong communication, documentation, planning, and organizational skills.
  • An active Secret Clearance.

Technical Skills Required:

  • Virtual Infrastructure: Proficient in designing, deploying, managing, maintaining, and upgrading VMware (7/8) environments, particularly VCSA and ESXi/vSphere.
  • Scripting/Automation: Experience in automating engineering tasks through scripting and orchestration tools, especially in Power CLI and PowerShell.
  • Data Storage Technologies: Expertise in SAN, backup and recovery solutions, storage provisioning, and management.
  • Familiarity with Cohesity for backup and recovery tasks.
  • Experience with Nutanix administration and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of High Availability, Distributed Resource Scheduler, and Networking.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant education or certifications in IT or related fields.
  • AWS EC2 administration experience.
  • Physical Datacenter experience including racking, stacking, and cable management.
  • Experience with vendor portals and ticketing systems.
