Job Summary

Cinterra is seeking a skilled Construction Laborer to join our team. As a key member of our construction crew, you will be responsible for performing a variety of physical labor tasks at highway and heavy construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Site Preparation: Clean and prepare construction sites, dig trenches, and set braces to support the sides of excavations.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate a variety of hand and power tools, including heavy equipment, to perform tasks such as cleaning up rubble and debris, and removing waste materials.
  • Construction Support: Assist in installing pipes and drains, erect temporary structures, and place traffic signs to warn traffic of construction in progress.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Clean and maintain construction equipment, load and unload equipment from trucks, and fill potholes to facilitate the construction process.
  • Team Support: Train apprentices and new hires in construction labor work, and ensure that all work is being done in compliance with company protocols.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma preferred.
  • Experience: Knowledge of gas installation techniques and standards, with limited experience preferred.
  • Physical Demands: The physical demands of this role include lifting heavy objects, walking and standing for long periods of time, and performing strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions.
