Estimating Director

Cinterra is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Estimating to lead our estimating function and play a crucial role in the success of our business.
Job Summary:The Director of Estimating will be responsible for managing and overseeing the estimating function, providing guidance and leadership to the estimating team, and ensuring that bids are prepared and submitted in a professional and timely manner.
Key Responsibilities:- Estimating and Bid Preparation: Provide guidance and leadership to the estimating team in estimating, preparing, and submitting bids in a professional and timely manner.
- Project Management: Review RFP documents and generate material take-offs and labor estimates, arrange for procurement of long lead time material and/or subcontractors, and attend pre-bid meetings when required.
- Leadership and Development: Develop policies and procedures related to the bid process, schedule estimating staff to ensure timely bid creation, and work with other leadership teams to develop a complete project package.
- Team Management: Facilitate project hand-off for a smooth transition to operations, prepare capital cost estimates, and coordinate with other departments to ensure understanding of project objectives and efficient utilization of resources.
- Education: Bachelor of Science degree in business, finance, construction, or related industry.
- Experience: 10+ years of relevant experience, 5 of those being in leadership roles.
- Skills: Proven experience managing and developing teams, working knowledge of the construction and/or renewable energy industries, ability to read project plans and specifications, and understanding of contract language and requirements.
- May be regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, keyboard, and telephone, along with other general office equipment.
- Close vision abilities required due to computer work.
- Light to moderate lifting/carrying of 25 lbs may be required.
