Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Custodian / Laborer to join our team at the Community College of Allegheny County. As a key member of our Housekeeping department, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our campuses and centers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers
  • Perform a variety of duties in housekeeping, grounds keeping, and general maintenance, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and cleaning interior and exterior fixtures
  • Operate various equipment, such as lawnmowers, snowplows, and cleaning machines
  • Assist in loading and unloading vehicles and moving heavy boxes and supplies
  • Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks, such as replacing belts and brushes on vacuums
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Ability to read, write, and do basic math
  • Valid Pennsylvania driver's license required
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy materials for extended periods
  • Ability to work in inclement weather and extreme temperatures
Clearances

Current criminal record and child abuse clearances will be required if offered the position.
