Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our Environmental department at Baptist Senior Family. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing regular touch-up painting throughout the property, preparing, patching, repairing, and painting all wall surfaces, ceilings, trim, and doors as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform regular touch-up painting throughout the property to provide a more attractive environment.
  • Prepare, patch, repair, and paint all wall surfaces, ceilings, trim, and doors as required.
  • Complete drywall construction/repair work in a timely manner.
  • Perform rough and finish carpentry, such as repairing furniture, placing backing for support, working with wood and steel framing.
  • Perform or assist in testing of safety and operating systems in buildings and Patio Homes.
  • Maintain inventory of paint and painting supplies. Track colors and finishes used in each area of the building.
  • Paint and refinish equipment and the interior and exterior of the facility.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and other repairs as required.
  • Snow removal at walkways and patio home driveways and their sidewalks.
  • Attend in-services, training, and department meetings as required by the Maintenance Supervisor or Director of Environmental Services.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma, or GED basic knowledge of building construction, a Minimum of two years' painting/drywall repair or related experience and or training.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine maintenance reports and records, work orders, etc. Ability to speak effectively with employees of organization, and external customers such as service company employees.
  • Ability to accurately add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • The ability to use power tools, ladders, hand tools, and lifts.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current class C Pennsylvania Driver's License.

Work Schedule:

  • Full-Time Monday-Friday 7:00 AM- 3:00 PM
