Job Summary

The Engineering Technician will be responsible for designing, specifying, and quoting mobile fluid power systems, as well as other service packages for Seneca Tank Dealerships. This role will work closely with vendors, technical experts, Seneca Tank dealerships, and new production to develop and implement mobile fluid power system improvements and operation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mobile Fluid Power System Design and Development: Design, specify, and quote mobile fluid power systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company requirements.
  • BOM Creation and Material Requisition: Create and manage Bill of Materials (BOMs) and requisition materials for mobile fluid power systems, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Training and Technical Support: Train and advise service and new production mechanics on proper installation of mobile fluid power systems, providing technical support as needed.
  • SolidWorks Electrical Utilization: Utilize SolidWorks Electrical to create and revise hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical schematics to support installations.
  • Technical Service Bulletins: Create and revise Technical Service Bulletins for company-wide use, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
  • Problem-Solving and Technical Support: Provide hands-on problem-solving and technical support for customers and technicians, ensuring timely resolution of issues.

Qualifications
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in petroleum transportation and mobile fluid power applications.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, create blueprints and schematics using SolidWorks, and possess intermediate computer skills, including spreadsheet, word processing, email, internet browsing applications, and ERP systems.
Accountability
  • BOM/Requisition Accuracy: Ensure accuracy and efficiency in BOM creation and material requisition.
  • Quote and Requisition SLA: Meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for quote and requisition processes.
Physical Demands
  • Physical Activity: Perform medium work, exerting up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, 20 lbs. of force frequently, and 10 lbs. of force constantly to move objects.
  • Visual Requirements: Possess clarity of vision at a distance of more than 20 inches and less than 20 feet without correction, color vision, depth perception, and field of vision.
