Job Summary:

Option Care Health is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacy Operations Assistant to join our team. As a Pharmacy Operations Assistant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and accurate operation of our pharmacy services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the preparation and processing of prescriptions and equipment.
  • Review and validate prescription refill requests to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Assist with maintaining equipment through calibration, inspection, cleaning, testing, and reporting any defects to the supervisor.
  • Collect and maintain patient information to ensure accurate planning of needed materials, supplies, equipment, and prescriptions.
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients and respond to their basic requests and questions.
  • Receives and verifies quantities of incoming supplies and materials, stocks and stores new supplies and materials, and reviews expiration dates.
  • Identify shortages and pick and pack materials and supplies, create tickets, and track inventory through accurate data entry into applicable systems.
  • Schedule routine patient deliveries and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 0 to 6 months of relevant experience.
  • Licensed or registered within 6 months of hire (if required by state).
  • Successful enrollment and completion of the OCH designated training course within 6 months of hire (if licensure and/or training course is required by the state).
  • Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers, including meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Able to perform basic and intermediate-level mathematical calculations.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Basic level skill in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous healthcare or pharmacy technician experience.
