Overview: The Facility Security Officer (FSO) plays a crucial role in maintaining the security integrity of the organization. This position requires a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance and involves providing comprehensive security support across various operational functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary Facility Security Officer, reporting directly to the Senior Security Manager.
  • Conduct classification reviews for incoming and outgoing communications.
  • Assist in managing a document accountability system and maintain related correspondence.
  • Oversee the processing of classified mail and maintain accurate receipt records.
  • Facilitate the destruction of classified materials in compliance with security protocols.
  • Ensure accountability for magnetic media and provide reproduction support for classified documents.
  • Maintain daily logs for administrative functions related to document control.
  • Assist in the processing of data transfer files and maintain a comprehensive database of customer contacts.
  • Support the management of inbound and outbound visit notices, including escorting visitors and maintaining logs.
  • Help prepare access control badges and conduct entry and exit inspections.
  • Maintain the Personnel Access Security System database, ensuring accurate records of all personnel.
  • Enforce the organization's Standard Operating Procedures and provide support for security awareness initiatives.
  • Conduct annual briefings and manage the Insider Threat Program.
  • Prepare for and facilitate DCSA inspections while maintaining relevant government databases.
  • Review and process Program Access Requests (PARs) for accuracy and eligibility.
  • Provide leadership and mentoring to team members.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (4 years).
  • Completion of DoD SAPCO approved SAPNP training is required.
  • Current Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • Familiarity with security policies and guidelines, including SEADs and NISPOM.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and effectively collaborate with DOD personnel and industry partners.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Demonstrated originality, creativity, and initiative with minimal supervision.

Note: Candidates must be willing to undergo a Counterintelligence polygraph examination.
