Key Responsibilities
Direct Patient Interaction
- Evaluate incoming calls to determine the appropriate response based on patient needs and information.
- Engage with patients, sales representatives, and visitors in a professional and efficient manner through various communication channels.
- Conduct reminder calls for appointments, ensuring patients are informed about necessary documentation.
- Enhance patient experience by providing courteous service and maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Support for Providers and Teams
- Compile daily schedules of appointments for the clinic.
- Collaborate with care teams to ensure accountability for patient health outcomes.
- Instill confidence in our services and facilities among patients and stakeholders.
Administrative Duties
- Manage appointment scheduling and input necessary data into electronic systems.
- Track and document both filled and canceled appointments.
- Prepare patient charts ahead of scheduled visits.
- Confirm patient appointments and check-in times at registration.
- Process and record patient payments accurately.
- Ensure patient records are current and accurate, making updates as needed.
- Complete ongoing training to maintain compliance with position requirements.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Minimum of one year of customer service experience is necessary; experience in a healthcare environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and multi-line phone systems is advantageous.
- Bilingual skills (English/Spanish, English/Arabic, or English/Mandarin) may be required based on location.
Essential Skills and Abilities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including proficiency in typing and proofreading.
- Ability to interpret various forms of instructions, whether written, oral, or visual.
- Knowledge of customer service protocols and etiquette.
- Capacity to interact effectively with diverse populations and clinic staff.
- Proficient in managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills.
- Competence in using computer applications, including spreadsheets and databases.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team as well as independently.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
- Capability to stand for extended periods.
Neighborhood Healthcare provides a comprehensive benefits package, including partially company-funded medical, dental, and vision plans, vacation time, holidays, sick leave, volunteer time off, a retirement plan, and various health and wellness initiatives.
Compensation: $22.00-$28.75 per hour, based on experience.
