Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Instructional Assistant to join our team at United Cerebral Palsy Associations Inc. As an Instructional Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing functional skills training and personal care to our disabled customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide functional skills training to customers with disabilities, focusing on daily living skills and personal care.
  • Work under direct supervision of program management to ensure high-quality services are delivered.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, their families, and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless delivery of services and achieve program goals.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; experience working in day or residential programs serving persons with disabilities preferred.
  • Valid CDL and clean driving record (highly desirable).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • First Aid/CPR certification and ability to meet California Community Care Licensing personnel standards.
