Job Title: Student and Program Support Specialist

University of the Pacific is seeking a highly motivated and organized Student and Program Support Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will provide direct support and specialized services to programs to ensure that Benerd College students and program participants complete their programs in a timely manner, receive support in meeting their personal and professional goals/aspirations, and feel cared for and supported during their educational journey.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate admission processing for the degree completion program, in collaboration with Undergraduate Admissions.
  • Proactively audit degree works to ensure all General Education requirements are satisfied and communicate any unmet requirements to both advisor, student, and prepare options for students on how to satisfy.
  • Work with Degree Completion Program Leads as well as STK degree seeking programs on course/room scheduling, book orders, and other logistics.
  • Coordinate new student orientation logistics for degree completion.
  • Manage logistics for degree completion on-campus residencies.
  • Input course sections into Banner.
  • Prepare detailed registration instructions each term for degree completion.
  • Create and maintain data files and databases (i.e., course scheduling, student registration, student progression, etc.).
  • Prepare, maintain, and track academic and/or operational records, verifying information, reconciling to Banner and resolving academic and/or operational issues.
  • Coordinate special events and meetings for various programs/initiatives in the school.
  • Support programs, school, and college in other duties, as needed and/or assigned.
Requirements:
  • One and a half years (1.5) of post high school education with a minimum of 18 units of completed coursework.
  • Two (2) years of work experience.
  • Bachelors Degree.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills, in providing warmth, empathy, and responsiveness.
  • Demonstrated experience working to improve processes to help serve customers more effectively.
  • Technical skills to manage electronic records, learn various university systems, and engage in extensive use of MS Office.
  • Strong problem solving skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Knowledge of and experience in teacher credentialing in California.
  • Experience with Banner, Argos, OnBase, Salesforce, and other university systems.
  • Experience with Pacific's systems, processes, and policies.
