We are looking for a Pharmacy Technician/Driver to assist in all aspects of the Optum mental health pharmacy, primarily focusing on the dispensing of medical prescriptions and performing essential clerical tasks under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm EST

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver medications (mileage reimbursement provided)
  • Fill prescription orders and prepare them for verification under the direct supervision of the registered pharmacist
  • Order, receive, and store incoming pharmacy supplies
  • Process wholesaler medication orders
  • Verify medication stock and enter data into the system to maintain inventory records
  • Collaborate with the pharmacist to assist in pharmacy operations and ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations
  • Perform various clerical duties related to the department
  • Communicate effectively with strong verbal and written skills
  • Provide exceptional customer service to all consumers and clinic staff
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • 6+ months of experience as a pharmacy technician
  • Access to reliable transportation and a valid US Driver's license
  • Ability to use your own vehicle for deliveries

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Licensed Pharmacy Technician in the state of New York
  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English
