We are looking for a Pharmacy Technician/Driver to assist in all operations of the Optum mental health pharmacy, primarily by dispensing medical prescriptions and performing essential clerical tasks under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm EST

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Delivery of medications (mileage reimbursement provided)
  • Filling prescription orders and making them available for verification under the direct supervision of the registered pharmacist
  • Ordering, receiving, and storing incoming pharmacy supplies
  • Processing wholesaler medication orders
  • Verifying medication stock and entering data into the system to maintain inventory records
  • Collaborating with the Pharmacist to assist in pharmacy operations and ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations
  • Performing various clerical duties related to the department
  • Exhibiting strong professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Providing exceptional customer service to all clients and clinic staff
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • 6+ months of experience as a pharmacy technician
  • Access to reliable transportation and a valid US Driver's license
  • Ability to use your own vehicle for deliveries

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Licensed Pharmacy Technician in the state of New York
  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English
