About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Community Support Specialist to join our team at The Charles Lea Center. As a key member of our Direct Support team, you will play a vital role in empowering individuals with disabilities to live more independently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personalized support and care to individuals in their community settings
  • Assist with daily living tasks, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household management
  • Encourage and support individuals in achieving their goals and aspirations
  • Collaborate with the Program Manager to develop and implement individualized support plans
  • Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of individuals in your care

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field preferred
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
