DescriptionThe Autism Society of North Carolina is seeking a Part-Time Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide direct care and support to individuals with autism in Wilmington and surrounding areas.
As a DSP, you will play a meaningful role in helping individuals achieve their personal goals and enhance their lives. You will provide support, supervision, and instruction in their home, community, and/or a program setting, implement goal-driven activities, and ensure the safety and well-being of the individual.

Responsibilities- Provide support, supervision, and instruction in their home, community, and/or a program setting
- Implement goal-driven activities that are identified on the person's care plan
- Provide support and opportunities to learn and practice meaningful skills
- Provide support and opportunities to engage socially and build relationships
- Complete daily notes that summarize the person's efforts and progress
- Ensure the safety and well-being of the individual
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license and registration (for services requiring transportation)
- 18 years or older
- Criminal background check
- Driving record check
