Job Summary:

Piedmont Community College seeks a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Evening and Weekend Support Specialist. As a key member of the Student Development team, this position will provide critical support services to enrolled and prospective students during evening and weekend hours.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and administer student support services, including admissions application, FAFSA application, course registration, graduation processing, and withdrawals.
• Serve as the primary backup to various offices within Student Development, providing coverage for the Help Desk and reviewing departmental webpages for accuracy.
• Direct students to appropriate advisors or departments, scheduling appointments and initiating the process as needed.
• Provide support to faculty in the evening and attend College meetings as feasible.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution with one year of experience in a related field or Associate's degree in education or a related field with three years of experience in a related field.
• Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to work well with individuals of diverse backgrounds.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and detail-oriented, with strong organizational and analytical skills.

Working Conditions:

This position requires continuously talking or hearing, frequently standing, and frequently reaching with hands and arms. Occasionally required to lift up to 10 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to an indoor environment.
