Position Overview:
Lamb's Tire & Automotive is a well-established provider of comprehensive automotive repair and maintenance services in the Central Texas region. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality service through our team of ASE certified technicians, who are equipped to handle a variety of automotive needs including alignments, brake repairs, oil changes, battery replacements, suspension work, and air conditioning services.

COMPENSATION: Competitive pay based on experience

Role Summary:
The Automotive Service Consultant plays a crucial role in promoting and selling all Lamb's Tire & Automotive services and products while adhering to the company's operational standards and expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome customers in a friendly and professional manner, both in-person and over the phone, utilizing the company's established customer service protocols.
  • Carefully listen to and document customer concerns; assess the vehicle and review service history to accurately determine the customer's service requirements.
  • Advise customers on necessary services based on your expertise. Clearly relay any additional recommendations from the Automotive Technician to ensure customers can make informed choices. Document all suggestions in the customer file.
  • Encourage the sale of relevant services, parts, and accessories by demonstrating a solid understanding of the products and their service needs.
  • Provide customers with precise estimates that outline costs and expected completion times for approved services. Keep customers informed throughout the day regarding the status of their services.
  • Follow established procedures when processing customer transactions, including reviewing the completed multi-point inspection and explaining applicable warranties.
  • Conduct follow-up calls after repairs and declined services to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor all new returns, core returns, and warranty parts for each customer.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience as a Service Consultant is advantageous, but not mandatory.
  • Professional demeanor and proven ability to thrive in a structured environment.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license or obtain one within 30 days of employment.
  • Availability to work a minimum of five days per week, including weekends.
