Job Title: Customer Service Agent, HS 3, Benefits

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused individual to join our Benefits Administration team as a Customer Service Agent. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers, responding to phone inquiries, and resolving issues related to Group Benefit Plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to phone inquiries and resolve issues related to Group Benefit Plans, including health, life insurance, long-term disability, and voluntary benefit plans.
  • Prepare paperwork related to benefit requests and update associates' information.
  • Assist with a variety of tasks within the benefits department as needed.
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to handle a high volume of calls daily and process work accurately, timely, and meet deadlines.
  • Professional telephone etiquette and probing skills.
  • Ability to handle and maintain confidential and sensitive information.
  • Ability to work independently and productively.
  • Detail-oriented with good analytical skills and problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent attendance and punctuality record.
  • Ability to work well with others, remain positive, and be an effective team member.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Two years of Publix retail customer service experience in an employee benefits administration department.
  • Call center experience.
  • Benefits experience.
  • General accounting skills.
  • Bilingual - Spanish a plus.
