Mobile Crane Operator Specialist

Metal Technologies of Murfreesboro LLC, a leading provider of millwright services and metal fabrication solutions, is seeking a skilled Mobile Crane Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with cranes and building materials, as well as strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
About the Role
As a Mobile Crane Operator at Metal Technologies, you will be responsible for safely transporting loads to construction sites using lifting equipment such as mobile cranes. You will work closely with construction workers and ground operators to complete your daily tasks, which include equipment inspections and repairs. In this role, you will also assist with various construction tasks outside of crane operations as needed, including but not limited to project prepping, assisting welders/fabricators, and general site maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Operate cranes and hoists efficiently and safely.
- Transfer and discharge loads to construction sites.
- Secure loads to cranes to ensure safe transportation.
- Inspect equipment and machinery regularly.
- Maintain and update maintenance and activity logs.
- Perform basic repairs on machines as needed.
- Set up machinery according to complex manuals.
- Coordinate with ground operators and interpret hand and verbal signals.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols at all times.
Requirements and Skills
- Proven experience as a crane operator or in a similar role.
- Practical experience handling various types of cranes.
- Ability to lift heavy loads, work at heights, and stand for long hours.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Successful completion of a drug screen.
- Commercial driver's license (CDL) is required.
- Relevant certification (e.g., NCCCO) is required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong time management abilities.
- Demonstrates a hardworking and dedicated attitude.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Capable of managing multiple tasks effectively.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills.
- Keen eye for detail.
Benefits and Compensation
We offer a competitive salary of $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
