We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our Critical Care team at Ethos Veterinary Health in San Francisco. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our veterinary professionals.
Responsibilities- Triage incoming patients and assist with patient assessment, treatment, and procedures
- Partner with the patient care team to develop treatment plans, communicate with clients, and address nursing care concerns
- Provide client education on home care instructions, medications, and general wellness updates
- Monitor and provide nursing care to hospitalized patients
- Induce and monitor general anesthesia and sedation procedures
- Record and deliver organized rounds, discuss cases, and gather additional information as needed
- Perform in-house laboratory testing and prepare samples for outside laboratory testing
- High school diploma
- 1+ years of clinical experience as an RVT or 3 years of experience as a Senior Veterinary Assistant
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interface with staff and clients
- Consistent and reliable ability to perform mathematical calculations for drug doses, CRIs, client invoices, and estimates
- Maintain the California Veterinary Assistant Controlled Substance Permit (VACSP)
