Veterinary Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our Critical Care team at Ethos Veterinary Health. As a critical care specialist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our veterinary team.
About the Role- Assist our veterinary team in providing critical care to patients, including triaging, monitoring, and administering medications.
- Partner with our patient care team to develop and implement treatment plans, communicate with clients, and address nursing care concerns.
- Provide education to clients on home care instructions, medications, and general wellness updates on hospitalized patients.
- Monitor and care for hospitalized patients, including inducing and monitoring general anesthesia and sedation procedures.
- Record and deliver organized rounds, discuss cases, and gather additional information as necessary.
- Perform in-house laboratory testing and prepare samples for outside laboratory testing.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ years of clinical experience as an RVT or 3 years of experience as a Senior Veterinary Assistant.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interface with staff and clients.
- Consistent and reliable ability to perform mathematical calculations for drug doses, CRIs, client invoices, and estimates.
- Maintain the California Veterinary Assistant Controlled Substance Permit (VACSP) within 60 days of hire or transfer into this role.
