POSITION OVERVIEW

As a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS), you play a pivotal role in patient care at Rochester Regional Health. Your contributions significantly impact the lives of our patients, their families, and visitors, as you strive to meet their needs with empathy, respect, and professionalism.

The Acute Medical Unit is dedicated to managing patients with diverse medical conditions and complex health issues. RNs in this unit will refine their expertise in caring for individuals with acute health challenges, including cardiac monitoring, diabetes management, renal conditions, and respiratory issues, as well as those requiring multiple intravenous therapies. Additionally, RNs will utilize strong psychosocial skills to assist patients facing substance use disorders and mental health challenges alongside their medical care.

EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Full Time

WORK SCHEDULE: Day/Night rotation, including every other weekend

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Patient Experience. Actively seek and respond to patient feedback to enhance service quality and processes that improve the patient journey.
  • Medication Management. Administer medications and communicate relevant information through both written and verbal reports.
  • Documentation Standards. Maintain accurate, relevant, and comprehensive patient care documentation utilizing electronic medical record systems.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

AS: Nursing (Required)

LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:

BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association (AHA), RN - Registered Nurse - New York State Education Department (NYSED)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

M - Medium Work - Involves exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing, or squatting.

$ $48.00
