POSITION OVERVIEW:
As a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS), you play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care at Rochester Regional Health.

Your daily contributions positively impact the lives of patients, their families, and visitors, as you strive to exceed their expectations with empathy, kindness, and professionalism.

Endoscopy/Gastroenterology
Our CNS collaborates with physicians and LPNs to facilitate patient care during pre-operative and post-operative phases. Work schedules are set from Monday to Friday, between 7 am and 6:30 pm, with on-call responsibilities during evenings and weekends.

WORK SCHEDULE:
Monday through Friday - Day shifts; On-call rotation during evenings and weekends.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Patient Care & Service. Enhance and restore patients' health by executing the nursing process; collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary teams; performing various treatment procedures; providing physical, educational, and emotional support to patients and their families; supervising assigned team members.

Planning & Communication. Develop and document tailored care plans that address each patient's unique needs, with input from the interdisciplinary health team as necessary; maintain effective communication to relay patient health status, treatment plans, and progress.

Electronic Health Record (EHR) Management. Exhibit proficient use of an EHR – ensuring accurate patient and provider documentation and communication.

Compliance. Adhere to required departmental and system protocols, regulations (local, state, federal), and educational requirements.

BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association (AHA), RN - Registered Nurse - New York State Education Department (NYSED)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:


M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing, or squatting.
