OVERVIEW:
As a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS), you play a vital role in patient care at Rochester Regional Health. Your contributions significantly impact the lives of our patients, their families, and visitors, as you strive to exceed their expectations with empathy, kindness, and professionalism.

EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full Time
WORK LOCATION: Unity Hospital
DEPARTMENT: Cardiovascular Unit
SCHEDULE: Days/Evenings/Nights - Rotating Weekends & Holidays

QUALIFICATIONS:

DUTIES:

  • Patient Care & Service. Enhance and restore patients' health by executing the nursing process; collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary team members; performing various treatment procedures; providing physical, educational, and emotional support to patients, families, and friends; supervising assigned team members
  • Planning & Communication. Formulate and document tailored care plans suited to each patient's specific needs, with assistance from the interdisciplinary health team as necessary; maintain effective communication to relay patient health status, treatment plans, and progress
  • Electronic Health Record (EHR) Management. Exhibit proficient use of an EHR – ensuring accurate patient and provider documentation and communication
  • Compliance. Follow required department and system protocols, regulations (local, state, federal), and educational requirements

EDUCATION:

AS: Nursing (Required)

LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:

BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association (AHA), RN - Registered Nurse - New York State Education Department (NYSED)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing, or squatting.

COMPENSATION RANGE:

$ $48.00

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full-time applicant. It may be modified in the future and is eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
