Medical Records Analyst

We are seeking a skilled Medical Records Coder to join our team at SUNY Upstate Medical University. As a Medical Records Coder, you will be responsible for analyzing and coding hospital records for reimbursement, research, and compliance with regulatory agencies using the ICD-10-CM/PCS classification system and CPT-4 procedural coding.
Key Responsibilities:- Analyze and code hospital records for reimbursement, research, and compliance
- Assign DRGs to hospital records
- Use ICD-10-CM/PCS classification system and CPT-4 procedural coding
- Work under the supervision of the Lead Coder
- RHIT/RHIA or eligible required
- Eligible candidates will be required to obtain certification within two years of hire date
- Two or more years of coding experience preferred
This is a full-time position with a standard Monday to Friday schedule. Opportunity for remote work upon completion of training period.
