Medical Records Specialist

This position is responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records at SUNY Upstate Medical University. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of healthcare documentation and be able to effectively manage electronic medical records systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
Provide medical records support to the Office Manager
Serve as the "Superuser" for all aspects of scanning and training
Requirements:
Associate's Degree In Health Information Technology
Basic knowledge of various types of office equipment and computer programs
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
Certified in Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT)
Work Schedule:
Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm
