Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Clerical Support Specialist to join our team at the Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services.

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform routine clerical work in areas such as bookkeeping, inventory control, and data entry.
• Compile and tabulate data, checking documents for accuracy and maintaining files.
• Work under moderate supervision with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
• Perform data entry and retrieval, and obtain necessary information on data forms from professional staff.
• Produce and proof purchase orders, summaries, vouchers, records, and other related forms.
• Answer inquiries regarding data entry and restraint policies and procedures, and assist staff in filling out forms.
• Assemble, organize, and tabulate data, and perform calculations; may prepare charts, graphs, and tables.
• File and maintain supplies, forms, records, and reports.
• Open and distribute incoming mail, and prepare mail-outs.
• Deliver, pick up, or receive documents, supplies, equipment, or materials, and check for quantity and quality.
• May arrange the scheduling, transfer, and display of surplus property, and assist in conducting physical inventory.
• Perform related work as assigned.
Requirements:
• Knowledge of office procedures, spelling, punctuation, grammar, and arithmetic, and business or program terminology, methods, and procedures.
• Skill in using a personal computer and office equipment.
• Ability to prepare and maintain records, files, and reports, and input restraint data correctly, and obtain information from professional staff to ensure data is correct.
Working Conditions:
• Work is performed in a standard office environment with moderate noise levels and frequent interruptions.
• May require occasional travel to other locations within the agency.
