Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our team at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our GI Physicians' Practice by ensuring seamless patient flow and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Check schedules and organize patient flow to ensure efficient use of time
  • Accompany patients to exam/procedure rooms and assist as needed with walking, transfers, and dressing
  • Collect patient information/history and take vital signs
  • Prepare patients for exams and procedures, including collecting specimens and assisting with medical equipment
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; medical assistant certification preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Basic life support certification (BLS) required
