Job Summary

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is seeking a highly skilled Aviation Safety Inspector to join our team. As an Aviation Safety Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of the aviation industry by conducting inspections, investigations, and enforcement actions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct inspections and investigations to identify and address safety risks and non-compliance with regulations.
  • Enforce safety regulations and standards through inspections, investigations, and enforcement actions.
  • Collaborate with air carriers, airports, and other stakeholders to promote safety and compliance.
  • Develop and implement safety programs and initiatives to improve safety performance.
  • Provide technical assistance and guidance to air carriers and other stakeholders on safety-related matters.
Requirements
  • Must have a valid FAA Mechanic Certificate with airframe and power plant ratings.
  • Must have at least one year of specialized experience in aviation safety or a related field.
  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Working Conditions

The Aviation Safety Inspector will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent travel to air carrier facilities, airports, and other locations. The position requires the ability to work in a team environment and to communicate effectively with air carriers, airports, and other stakeholders.
