Clinical Laboratory Inspector

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Laboratory Inspector to join our team at the Oregon State Public Health Laboratory. As a Clinical Laboratory Inspector, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of clinical laboratory testing in Oregon.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform surveys and inspections of clinical laboratories to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Investigate complaints against clinical laboratories and take corrective action as necessary.
- Develop and implement plans to improve laboratory compliance and quality.
- Collaborate with laboratory staff to resolve issues and improve laboratory operations.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in regulations and industry standards.
- Bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical, biological science, or medical technology, or a related field.
- Four years of laboratory training and experience, or both, in performing high complexity testing.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Master's degree in a chemical, physical, biological science, or medical technology, or a related field.
- ASCP or AMT certification.
- Experience surveying, evaluating, interpreting, and applying complex regulations.
- Experience writing deficiency citations and preparing investigative reports.
