Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Manager 2 to join our team at Augusta University. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing various operational, financial, research, and personnel functions for the Departments of Neurology and Neurosurgery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and submit financial reports, budgets, and documentation
  • Analyze financial statements and resolve budget errors
  • Oversee department recruitment and manage department support staff
  • Manage departmental accounts, including revenue and foundation accounts
  • Prepare quarterly analysis of available discretionary funding
  • Submit and maintain needed approvals for extra duty compensation
  • Process HR documentation for the departments on both the university and health system platforms
  • Manage all office associates, office specialists, and clinical receptionists in the departments of Neurology and Neurosurgery
  • Provide research of account balances to PIs and approve all eSproute routings
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration or related discipline
  • Three years administrative management experience
  • Working knowledge of AU policies and procedures
  • Extensive knowledge of PeopleSoft
  • Knowledge of compliance and records management
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
