Assistant Controller - Global Client Operations

Barings, a distinguished financial services organization, is in search of a committed professional to become a part of our Global Client Operations division. In the role of Assistant Controller, you will oversee a variety of portfolios, facilitate client reporting, and provide support to both internal and external stakeholders. Your work will encompass diverse asset classes, including Real Estate Equity, Private Equity, and Private Credit. We are seeking an individual with robust accounting knowledge and operational insight. Your key responsibilities will encompass:

  • Oversight of accounting for the firm's private investments
  • Collaboration with external service providers
  • Preparation of financial statements and client reports
  • Management of capital calls and distributions
  • Engagement with investment teams and senior leadership
  • Generation of account-level financial performance metrics
  • Provision of ad hoc reports as required

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • Strong project management and communication abilities
  • Proficiency in Excel and Word
