Financial Controller - Construction Sector

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and reconcile inventory accounts, providing necessary inventory reporting.

  • Monitor banking activities, tracking expenditures and cash flow, while maintaining weekly financial reports.
  • Review contracts to confirm appropriate accounting practices are applied.
  • Facilitate the timely closing of monthly financial statements and execute year-end closing processes.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and analyze monthly variances against the budget.
  • Generate timely bank reports to ensure adherence to financial covenants.
  • Support the annual budgeting process and forecasts, including analysis of monthly budget variances.
  • Lead the annual audit process, providing necessary documentation and support to external auditors.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration.
  • Active CPA certification is mandatory.
  • A minimum of eight (8) years of progressive accounting experience is required.
  • Experience within the construction industry is essential.
  • Familiarity with SAGE 300 or similar job costing software (such as CMiC, Star Builder, Foundation) is preferred.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across departments, promoting best practices and developing effective solutions to business challenges.

Our client offers a competitive salary range of $140k to $170k, along with comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, and a 401k plan.
