Construction Superintendent

We are seeking a seasoned Superintendent for our upcoming project in San Jose, CA.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct pre-construction strategies including Plan Constructability Review, Site Logistics, and Schedule Coordination.
  • Exhibit exceptional management skills to oversee commitments - making requests, fulfilling promises, gathering assertions, and providing assessments.
  • Establish, uphold, and enforce a safe working environment on-site.
  • Develop, maintain, and implement project schedules.
  • Assist in ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints.
  • Oversee and coordinate all construction activities, including those of subcontractors.
  • Guarantee that project materials and workmanship align with company quality standards and design specifications.
  • Gather necessary information from engineers, designers, inspectors, and relevant authorities.
  • Inform the project manager of potential issues affecting budget, schedule, quality, and safety.
  • Maintain project strategies, schedules, 3-week look-ahead plans, and daily job reports.
Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in a Superintendent capacity.
  • Experience in Multi-Family Unit Construction.
  • Background in Vertical Concrete Apprenticeship or related trades is advantageous.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the construction sector and company operations, including specifications, plans, materials, methods, and procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead safety initiatives on-site.
  • Proven experience managing large subcontractor teams as a Superintendent.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience in evaluating and leading trade performance on-site.
  • Thorough knowledge of all required and special inspections.
  • Capability to resolve field-level issues and escalate as necessary.
  • Experience in creating and monitoring critical paths in project schedules.
  • Ability to schedule, oversee, and forecast resources for optimal efficiency.
