New River Electrical Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to lead our Substation Division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing intermediate to complex projects, providing critical leadership and management for project execution, and conducting business development activities.
Key Responsibilities- Project Management: Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure successful project delivery.
- Business Development: Identify and develop relationships with new customers, cultivate and nurture existing customer relationships, and participate in the development of bidding strategy and pricing.
- Leadership and Management: Provide leadership, motivation, vision, and direction to project teams, and select and train superintendents, general foremen, and foremen in the proper handling of job planning, interpretation of contract documents, and administration of company safety programs.
- Communication and Collaboration: Maintain ongoing communication with project sites and customers to identify and communicate issues, and effectively communicate project information to both internal and external project stakeholders.
- Financial Management: Manage project costs, proactively identify risks to ensure projects stay within budget, and develop project cash flows, manage project billing, and change order tracking.
- Contract Development and Management: Exhibit proficiency in contract development and management, and identify, prioritize, and mitigate project risks while seeking out and exploiting project opportunities.
- Education: B.S. degree in engineering, construction management, business administration, or a related field.
- Experience: Three (3) years qualified experience, or a minimum of eight (8) years of field supervision or relevant experience. Utility construction experience preferred.
- Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrated skills in providing leadership, motivation, vision, and direction, and proven success in developing and maintaining customer relationships.
- Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of the principles, procedures, and best practices in the industry, and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Utility Construction Experience: Extensive knowledge of the principles, procedures, and best practices in the construction of all aspects of both air insulated substations and gas insulated substations.
- Constructability Expertise: Ability to read, understand, and provide constructability improvements from all issued project documents.
Travel for this position is required and will consist of overnight stays.
