About the Role

New River Electrical Corporation is seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Estimator to join our team. As an Electrical Estimator, you will play a crucial role in reviewing, analyzing, and interpreting contract documents, including specifications, drawings, and reference information, to develop detailed and comprehensive estimates for a diverse range of electrical projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review project plans and specifications to confirm complete scope and identify potential risks.
  • Participate in customer meetings and site visits to gain an understanding of project requirements and site challenges.
  • Develop and manage estimates for electrical construction projects, including commercial, industrial, and renewable energy projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, engineers, and operations staff, to ensure accurate and timely estimates.
  • Meet estimating deadlines and manage multiple estimates simultaneously.
  • Prepare and submit accurate and professional bid proposals and supporting documentation.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years of commercial, industrial, and renewable electrical estimating experience, or a minimum of 5 years of field supervision or relevant experience.
  • Industrial and renewable construction experience preferred.
  • Must be experienced and proficient with pre-packaged estimating software.
  • Must be familiar with materials and equipment take-off process.
  • Possesses strong mathematical, communication, and computer skills.
  • Possesses a general understanding of MS Office and proficiency in the use of Excel.
  • Ability to compose basic, as well as complex proposals, technical documents, and formal letters.
  • Ability to make presentations to both small and large, diverse groups.
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and time management skills.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies.
