Overview

Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is seeking a motivated and skilled individual to join our team as a Cyber Intelligence Specialist. This role is essential in supporting our mission to safeguard sensitive U.S. technologies and defense systems.

The primary focus of this position is to assist in uncovering the individuals, connections, and entities that aim to compromise or undermine critical U.S. technological advancements. The specialist will collaborate with a diverse team, utilizing their technical knowledge and experience in comprehensive governmental operations to thwart adversaries from acquiring insights into U.S. military capabilities.

The team is tasked with addressing a wide array of intricate security challenges in a fast-paced environment, leveraging your ability to swiftly grasp technical nuances to counter foreign intelligence collection tactics. The ideal candidate should be adept at articulating realistic intelligence threats to classified programs and devising innovative strategies to mitigate these risks.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information clearance
  • Proven experience in the responsibilities outlined in the overview
  • 6-8+ years of relevant experience preferred
  • Minimum of 4 years as an intelligence analyst in a collaborative environment, leveraging technical expertise to protect U.S. capabilities
  • Familiarity with the Seven Types of Analytical Reasoning
  • Extensive experience in conducting thorough online research, including Boolean logic and various database resources
  • Ability to perform investigative research, think critically, and apply sound judgment to meet client needs
  • Develop effective query strategies for relevant research information
  • Generate both ad-hoc and scheduled reports on actionable activities
  • Experience in delivering professional reports and products
  • Ability to interpret expert assessments and apply findings effectively
  • Knowledge of analytic tradecraft and structured analytical methodologies
  • Strong communication skills to present findings to clients and internal teams
  • Proven ability to manage workload and deliver quality products with minimal supervision
  • Produce intelligence briefings tailored to client information needs
  • Conduct target discovery to identify new information sources
  • Demonstrated commitment to high-quality work
  • Collaborate on investigations and reporting for technology transfer challenges
  • Provide well-researched recommendations based on findings
  • Effectively manage multiple projects through time management and self-scheduling
  • Stay updated on emerging tools and techniques for data analysis
  • Adaptable to changing priorities and able to focus on urgent tasks
  • Strong interest in learning about new technologies and expanding analytical expertise
  • Comfortable navigating complex problem sets and deriving fact-based recommendations

Education and Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • Background in cybersecurity, data analysis, programming, engineering, or related disciplines is highly desirable

Security Clearance

Must be a U.S. Citizen. A high-level Department of Defense (DoD) active security clearance is required. This position necessitates successful completion of a background check and employment verification.

Physical Requirements

Work may involve prolonged periods of sitting or standing, as well as typing and reading from a computer screen. Candidates must possess sufficient mobility to perform daily tasks efficiently, which may include lifting up to thirty pounds as necessary.
