Job Overview

The Oracle APEX Software Engineer plays a crucial role in the development and upkeep of the primary case management platform, ensuring consistent performance and operational reliability while maintaining up-to-date training and support documentation.


This position requires onsite presence five days a week.


Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities associated with this role include:

  • Engaging in teleconferences or technical discussions to review, educate, and support program goals.
  • Designing, debugging, coding, and maintaining Oracle APEX applications.
  • Creating, debugging, coding, and maintaining Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), Hypertext Markup Language (HTML), JavaScript, Asynchronous JavaScript, and XML (AJAX) code.
  • Developing and integrating new functionalities into the case management system.
  • Conducting Operation and Maintenance (O&M) and formulating/maintaining standard operating procedures for the support of APEX applications.
  • Providing end-user assistance for the case management and other APEX applications.
  • Creating supporting documentation, training materials, and offering end-user training support.
  • Assisting in ensuring that requirements are documented and fulfilled.

Basic Qualifications
  • At least 3 years of experience with Oracle 11G or newer.
  • A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in development using Oracle Application Express (APEX).
  • At least 3 years of experience in Oracle Procedural Language (PL)/Structured Query Language (SQL).
  • Possession of an active Top Secret clearance with SSBI and the ability to obtain SCI clearance.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in designing, debugging, coding, and maintaining data definition language (DDL) for Oracle 11G databases and Oracle APEX applications.
  • Experience with coding, debugging, and maintaining PL/SQL procedures and functions.
  • Experience with designing, debugging, coding, and maintaining CSS, HTML, JavaScript, AJAX code.
  • Experience with designing, debugging, coding, and maintaining reports using BI Publisher.
  • Demonstrated ability to collect and document requirements using SharePoint or any Microsoft Office 365 application.
  • Strong communication skills: verbal, written, listening, and reading.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with strong interpersonal skills.
