Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Behavior Technician to join our team at Mt. Spokane High School. As a Behavior Technician, you will work under the supervision of building administrators to provide support directly related to the social, emotional, adaptive, and behavioral needs of students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized student instruction and small and whole group support to students with diverse needs.
  • Collect and analyze data to inform instruction and make data-driven decisions.
  • Assist in de-escalation interventions and facilitate professional development for staff.
  • Work cooperatively with special education and general education teachers and specialists to develop and implement behavior intervention strategies.
  • Document student progress and maintain confidentiality.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in a related field, such as social work, psychology, or special education.
  • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification or ability to obtain within two years.
  • Previous experience working with children and youth with disabilities.
  • Knowledge of crisis prevention and intervention techniques.
  • Ability to work with diverse racial, ethnic, and cultural groups.
Working Conditions
