Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Support Specialist to join our team at Carrier Clinic, a renowned behavioral health system.

As a Mental Health Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing routine patient care services under the direction of a professional nurse, including assisting patients with daily living activities, taking and recording vital signs, and facilitating psycho-educational group sessions.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, toileting, and laundry
  • Take and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure
  • Facilitate psycho-educational group sessions to promote patient engagement and empowerment
  • Utilize crisis intervention techniques as necessary to ensure patient safety and well-being
  • Conduct patient searches at admission, upon return from pass, or as clinically indicated under the direction of a Registered Nurse

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification within 30 days of hire
