Job Overview:

The Patient Access Specialist, I will be responsible for scheduling patient appointments, registering patients, and managing the patient access department.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Schedule patient appointments according to practice protocol.
  2. Register patients accurately and ensure required forms are presented.
  3. Provide customer service to patients, families, and visitors.
  4. Manage waitlist to backfill open appointment slots.
  5. Record no-shows and cancellations in the Electronic Health Record system.
  6. Update and maintain patient account information accurately in the Electronic Health Record system.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalency; college degree preferred.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish required.
  • Minimum one to three years of experience in a medical office.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit, stand, bend, and stoop for long periods.
  • Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally/frequently.

Salary Estimate:

$50,000 - $65,000 per year
