Job Title: Marine Liaison, Sr. Manager

SubCom is seeking a highly skilled Marine Liaison, Sr. Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for all marine and fishing liaison activities for cable installation supply contracts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide risk assessments and mitigation measures for manmade impacts to undersea cables
  • Develop fishing agreements and support surveys and cable installation to minimize fishing interference
  • Lead the contracting of guard vessels to support surveys and installations
  • Develop cable awareness programs for system owners and work with cable owners to develop policies regarding fishing
  • Manage the movement of fishing gear from the route prior to survey and installation
Requirements:
  • BS/BA degree in Marine Related or Engineering field
  • Ability to lead, coordinate, and motivate direct reports
  • Ability to present to small and large audiences
  • Knowledge of global fishing and seabed uses
  • Knowledge of cable engineering and installation
  • Ability to research and report concisely on current maritime activities
  • Experience in direct liaison with commercial fishermen
  • Skills with diverse software including MS Office and ArcGIS
