Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Manager to lead our Control and Automation team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, with a focus on control systems and automation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of electrical engineers, automation engineers, and application engineers to design and develop control and automation systems.
  • Review and approve design packages, bills of materials, firmware, and software to ensure compliance with company and industry standards.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to the team, including coaching, evaluating, and developing direct reports.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support large-scale projects and ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Support research and development activities, including creating designs of experiments and providing feedback to product management.
  • Review design risk assessments, verification, and validation activities to ensure products meet customer requirements.
  • Design and validate embedded hardware systems, schematics, and PCB assemblies, as well as develop and validate embedded software in C.
  • Program microcontrollers and PLCs to process I/O signals and ensure robust error-free communications.
  • Ensure engineering work follows established design and quality practices in accordance with company and department policy.
  • Travel to support engineering teams at company facilities as needed.
Requirements
  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent education and experience.
  • 7+ years of experience managing and leading technical staff, including engineering managers, supervisors, or team leads.
  • Experience with UL, IEC, FCC, and similar standards for electrical system design and regulatory compliance.
  • Substantial knowledge of embedded system design, firmware, and software code creation, review, and control.
  • Experience with EPLAN Electric P8, Altium Designer, and Embedded Software development in C.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects while maintaining high productivity.
