Position Overview
Key Responsibilities
The Piping Fabrication Sales Specialist II plays a crucial role in identifying and engaging new clients, understanding their requirements, preparing estimates and proposals, and promoting mechanical fabrication services, including sheet metal, HVAC, multi-trade modular assemblies, corridor racks, and equipment skid packages. This role is centered on achieving sales targets, nurturing client relationships, and building a robust pipeline of fabrication projects to meet both immediate and long-term objectives.
Core Duties Include:
- Proactively identifies and reaches out to potential clients on a weekly basis, ensuring accurate and timely documentation of findings.
- Assesses client needs, prepares estimates, formulates quotes, recommends enhancements, and develops/presents tailored solutions based on our fabrication services.
- Facilitates fabrication opportunities from internal stakeholders.
- Tracks, reports, and strives to meet or exceed established sales targets.
- Maintains an active proposal backlog to support the achievement of the designated sales strategy.
- Records and monitors client interactions weekly, including sales calls, customer service engagements, marketing communications, and follow-ups.
- Builds long-lasting relationships to foster brand loyalty.
- Gains comprehensive knowledge of the company's service offerings to effectively communicate and persuade potential clients.
- Collaborates with the team to develop and implement a successful sales strategy.
- Coordinates with production and customer service managers to ensure seamless order processing and delivery.
Qualifications
Essential Education, Experience, and Skills
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience in Mechanical, HVAC, or related sales, or in the sales of other custom-manufactured products.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Highly organized and self-driven, with the ability to generate leads, conduct cold calls, follow up, and meet with prospective clients.
- Exhibits a professional demeanor and appearance.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple ongoing projects in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to multitask and perform additional duties as required.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical or business-related field.
- Approximately 20% of the time will involve travel to various job sites or office locations.
- Extended periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to ascend and descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and/or poles.
- Capable of climbing stairs and maneuvering in various environments, including tight and confined spaces.
Salary range: USD $76,000 - $101,600.00 per year.
