Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Land Title Researcher to join our team at Octagon Consulting LLC.

Estimated Salary: $50,000 - $60,000 per year

As a Land Title Researcher, you will be responsible for examining title examination materials, reviewing information set out in documents, and assembling a chain-of-title.

You will also identify property owners and lien holders, furnish a legal description, and create a run sheet.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Examine title examination materials from title plants and/or county records
  • Review information set out in documents located during searches of records
  • Assemble a chain-of-title that includes deeds, probate or heirship materials, liens that encumber search properties, and involuntary liens against owners
  • Identify property owners and lien holders of mortgage and involuntary liens
  • Furnish a legal description identifying property with reasonable certainty
  • Create a run sheet that contains a legal description for land assessed under a delinquent account plus names of property owners and all lien holders
