As a summer intern with Hilcorp's land department, you will gain valuable experience in the upstream oil and gas industry while assisting our team with daily tasks. Key Responsibilities:

  • We are seeking an ambitious and detail-oriented individual to assist Lease analysts, Division Order Analysts, and Landmen with research and data compilation of specific land inquiries - both internal and external.
  • You will review and setup land agreements, maintain existing agreements, generate reports, work on royalty owner hotline desk duties, and collaborate with GIS Technicians on mapping projects.

In addition to these responsibilities, you will adhere to our company values of integrity, ownership, urgency, alignment, and innovation, while supporting our vision and mission.

Professional Development:

  • This internship provides a unique opportunity to develop skills in oil and gas land management, including research, data analysis, and communication.

What We're Looking For:

  • Prior experience with an oil and gas company land department or working as an independent landman is preferred but not required.

Education Requirements:

  • You should be progressively working towards a Bachelor of Business Administration in Energy Management, Energy Commerce, Petroleum Land Management, or equivalent degree from an A.A.P.L. accredited program.
  • A Juris Doctorate is also preferred.
